I feel a sense of relief that this Pfizer contract ended for me today...

Its been a joke from day 1, and I am so glad its over. I will never do contract again, mostly because of the bad experience...

there are too many parts of this job that were off (lied to about bonus, unfair training-wave 1, especially, Pfizer sucks, etc)...

I could go on and on, but I won't.

Here is some good advice for those considering contract: RUN away from these jobs.

Now, I am a very ambitous person, and I think that was my "problem" in this job. So, if you are not ambitous and not smart (have over-extended yourself with bills, have no money saved), then take this job.

The rese of us smart people are going to sit it out, and collect UI, and drink a few beers until the right fit comes along.

good luck everyone!

Fuck you Pfizer.

I was fortunate enough to have left a little over a year ago after coming in with wave 1. I have never been more degraded, insulted and completely horrified as I was working on this contract. It really was not even the publicis side, the Pfizer managers and their employees were animals. Keep your head up everyone will be fine.

WOW! In today's economy, it amazes me that people can still have such selfish, elitist, entitled attitudes such as those displayed by this poster. It's "smart" people like this poster that have ruined what was once a very good career and a wonderful industry. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR INPUT AND ENTHUSIASM, SHITBIRD!!

funny how people will bash CSO companies. Do you know direct Pharma Co are all going CSO. It is very hard to get a job now without going through a CSO. With Obama inas Pres things are not going to get better. Things look bleek with the economy and housing.
I would rather be working and getting a paycheck then be on UI. Nobody will look at a resume with 6 months of UI. Good luck to you ....

Direct pharma may be going to CSO's but it doesn't mean people have to be treated with disrespect or misled. I hope those who are no longer with this CSO find it a blessing and go onto better gigs.

Did Obama start CSO's? I could have sworn my position with big Pharma got downsized under Bush and replaced with a contract person whom I trained?!

You and poster #3 sound like the typical pharma rep that can't sell.

It takes a truly ambitous person to understand the OP.

Why did you take the job in the first place? You sound like an arrogant loser. Good luck with the beer drinking and finding a job.

If you read her fucking post, you assume that this was her first fucking contract job, moron.

You probably took the job because you are a contract vet.

No came from big pharma ..16 yrs and was downsized....Very happy to have a job. You have a ghetto mouth. Go back to your beer drinking and wait for your Unemployment CK.

16 years and you are still of the mindset to be "happy to have a job"?

wow, what a mediocre thing to stay.

If you were a true professional salesperson, with ambition and talent, you would not be happy to have a job, you would be making things happen in you life, using your 16 years of experience to show other how to sell, or selling in the field, making cash, not doing contract sales, and being treated like a little elementary kid looking for a gold star.

You are very silly.

You are wrong..I am at a point in my life where I want things simple. I have saved enough money, have paid off house and dont care or need to work making alot of money. I work because I enjoy working and am happy to working. Did all the BS before and have no desire to go back to it. Would like to ride out maybe 5-6 yrs of working and retire...helping others..volunteering. You know there is more to life than back stabbing, name calling and the corporate BS.

Appreciate your response, but why does working at corporate have to be so much about back stabbing, name calling and BS?

If you keep your mouth shut and stay focused, you rarely have to deal with that junk.

I let others deal with that, and I have to not pay attention to the nonsense around me.

THIS IS what corporate America is about these days. The above post was spot on target!!

'true salespeople' don't have a marketing job in pharmaceuticals lol

'true salespeople' don't have a marketing job in pharmaceuticals lol

This is not 100 percent correct, because you have to get the doctors to still RX your drug, and it does take salesmanship to do that.

Other sales jobs are much less complicated also, so bashing pharma is not a good argument.

There are many payroll, or copier or even medical device reps, that can't handle the technical side of pharma...

and there is a techincal side IF you do the job correctly.

However, in today's tits and ass society, the technical side is being replaced with blow jobs and hand jobs by hot reps that are stupid.

Welcome to the New 'dummy downed' America that we all live in.
