I can’t concentrate with all this uncertainty!

This is not a career. Not even sure this is a job. This is a stock play and nothing more. Reps will be pawns in the game until an acquisition takes place, and then, if similar to all other acquisitions in the industry, most will be toast.

No we won’t be toast. Company wouldn’t spend all that money on a National Sales Meeting and training all these new reps. They value our expertise and see us as valuable employees.

If Pfizer buys Amarin this will be the second time this has happened to me with the last two years. I am so sick of it. Last year I was training on a new drug getting ready to leave for the launch when we had a conference call saying the company was sold and we were getting laid off. At least I made it into the field with this job.

I was a rep for 30 years. I worked for Parke-Davis and Pfizer bought them out in 2000. I did not get laid off, but got a better gig. So you can to, just work hard and other companies will come your way.

Question: What are the docs saying about Vascepa? I told my brother who has many CV issues and his doc switched him to it...he goes to the Mayo Clinic in Jax, Fl. This drug "data" is hard to beat.
Go for it...

Unfortunately, your story is not uncommon these days. State of the industry.

National Sales Meetings, maintaining old reps, and hiring new reps have absolutely nothing to do with this equation. Companies like ours are bought out every day and usually it’s the sales force that is left out in the cold. Another day, another billion dollar purchase. Move on! They can always train another “valuable expert” right out of college for a lot less. There is ABSOLUTELY no loyalty by management in this entire industry! Make better use of your time looking for your next job!
