Was wondering what the salary range is for a rep with experience? Car allowance and how much? What kind of benefits does AbbVie have? Thanks!

Here are approximate median salary range probability distribution data for specialty sales reps. This is based on anecdotal data from employees.

Sales Rep: low end $75,000
. 50% quartile: $100,000
75% quartile: $125,000
top end: $175,000

As you can see there is a very WIDE range. This is intentional in order to reward the producers and penalize the slackers (shelf stockers). Add bonus and other awards onto this position is fairly attractive. Applicants also receive generous auto allowance. Many lease high end vehicles.

If you have several years experience in a leadership role you may be better suited in a DM position. These are far more demanding (time-wise) but you can estimate a salary boost of 30-50% at each respective quartile.

Remember education and experience are factors but by no means are mandatory. Social and situational skills, communication skills, professional attitude, and an open mind are Critical. Effective on-job training by the in-place team will bring you up to performance standards very quickly.​
