Human insurance with Pets health care - is there one ?

I work for a pharma co and there is an option to add pet insurance when we make our health plan selections. It is additional and not the same plan as your main payor ( i.e. Anthem, UHC, etc), much like you are using a different company if you have dental insurance. I would do some research to make sure your local vets accept the plan, what/how much it covers and the roi on it.
