If anybody ever did acquire Hospira, it WILL be Boston Scientific !

It is a possibility? Hospira's device business has slid so far it is hard to believe it was a billion dollar business in the late 2000's. Between the Symbiq debacle and the fact that the only people capable of running the pump / device business have left or retired leaves the company in a precarious situation. To get someone interested in this boat anchor you need to convince them that the bio-similar market is huge and that Hospira can actually execute on the compounds they have in development. Boston Scientific or perhaps Baxter. Parkinson was very familiar with HPD for many years so if it had any value he would know.

They would be smart to dump devices....but is Hospira smart? With the pending costs to address cybersecurity with their pumps - both pre-market and legacy devices - Hospira has lost the device talent and integrity to manage what is coming.

AHA's letter on cybersecurity

http://www.mddionline.com/blog/devi...ecurity-terrorism-and-leap-too-far-12-04-2014

........The medical device industry’s apparent slowness to embrace this vulnerability persuaded one interested party, the American Hospital Association (AHA), to urge FDA in a five-page letter dripping with barely disguised frustration to “hold device manufacturers accountable for cybersecurity, while also encouraging them to participate in the existing HPH [healthcare and public health] activities to share information on cyber risk.”

....The AHA applauds the agency’s recent guidance on content of pre-market submissions for management of cybersecurity in devices. However, we urge the FDA also to address expectations of manufacturers for legacy devices.....

And on its way to 100 bucks by end of 2015.

That might be a little ambitious, but there is very little doubt that it will be in 2016. There are massive tailwinds lining up for 2016 - if biosims arrive in the U.S, which is highly likely. Wall Street may discount these tailwinds in 2015 and bid the stock to triple digits. 2016 might have higher odds. The naysayers can whine and talk about how bad the company is, blah, blah, blah. What they are probably most pissed off about is not having any stock.

You're dreaming $100 ? Maybe in 6 years IF Hospira don't get taken over in 2016 Nice try though, I hope you're right but I doubt it ... Wait ... why am I talking to a moron anyway Bye Bye Moe
