Hows the weather in New York?

Hope everyone is safe this weekend and next week after a crippling and devastating snowstorm hits the area. Powerlines will be down, and virtually all transportation related services will be shut down until the storm and the snow clears. many places of business in the highly populated area wont be able to open their doors.

I wonder how a lab in the northeast is going to receive or sign out cases during this time. Better have your snow plow ready! If only there was a lab in a nicer climate! didnt see this one coming...!

Nice job Dave, putting a lab in NY.

DGB said "New York is sophisticated!" A little storm won't bother NY lab. Opening the NY lab was in part based on HK's idea (but DGB always wanted to be in NYC area for the "glamour"). HK told him that "the reimbursement is higher in NY", and HK could bring in so many cases from Dianon. Little did DGB know that HK was just saying that to entice DGB to open a lab in NY, where HK would want to live. Opening the NY lab would also help the revenue growth (not necessary more cases) for the company since DGB was playing the Wall street revenue growth game for the "IPO" which has yet to be realized. DGB played into HK's hand. DGB did not and still doesn't know that HK is only for HK. HK never places someone else's interest before his. HK told DGB that "the weekend sign out is good for the company, better patient care and improved turn around time, etc." All of which DGB wanted to hear. The real agenda was HK wanted to make more money at the company's expense! The truth is that the turn around time and patient care don't matter during the weekend when the urologists offices are closed. New York may have higher reimbursement rate, but DGB never bothered to look at tax, labor cost, weather etc. For example, the average pathologist's pay is the lowest in the Northeast region, including NYC metro. But DGB listened to HK and the company paid 25% more for those pathologists in NY than anywhere else. MS, if you ever read this, just remember, HK is only for HK! MS, stop playing the revenue game! Shutting down FL to save your own skin because of the reimbursement cut to the biopsy TC. So you can report to your boss that the company under your leadership is doing fine revenue-wise despite the dreadful cut will only buy you some time.

I see you are making good use of your unemployment time. Tell us another story with leprechauns and unicorns.
