You might have to read this oped a couple times. This is the most distorted, convoluted line of thinking I have read in a long, long time. See, liberals were once racist. But, she has data that shows that white liberals are lss racist now and will vote for a black man. They'll vote for a black man if two blacks run against each other, and even if a black man runs against a white woman. But boy, the fact that white liberals are running away from him as fast as they can is because 'obama is held to a higher standard' and, you've got it, they are racist. She compares obama's failures to Clinton's but entirely misses the different approach and abilty to work with others. She entirely misses the relative differences in deficit and unemployment rates. No, no, he might lose because white liberals are still racist. The biggest thing she misses is that it is the black liberals who are racist - no matter how much obama fails, no matter how little he can figure out what he stands for or what the nation needs, no matter how much he feed divisiveness and polarization of the nation, they will still vote for him. Not because he's done anything right, only because he is black. Now THAT is the double standard she misses completely.
