How will J&J respond to Trump and DEI rollbacks?

I’ve always appreciated J&J and their commitment to be inclusive. I was happy a few years ago when the language was tougher, around equity and intentionality. The leaders seem to realize that to help the marginalized, you have to make the oppressed uncomfortable. Reading lists were provided, X kendi and all of the more deliberate work.

Then it seemed to drop off and now with Trump and his anti-DEI talk, I have no clue where the company stands. Do we expect guidance soon?

You should go work at a non profit lefty organization, not J&J

J&J values DEI and the work of notable people like X Kendi. I got into more revolutionary work through my organization’s DEI club and reading lists. As a global organization, we should be pushing back on facism. I’d like to see some guidance on how j&J will stand up for DEI.

Who in the hell at J&J is oppressed? I'll wait...

If you're in the Irvine location, there's a clear favoritism to Hispanics. Entire departments where only Hispanics are promoted/hired.
That’s good though, the workforce should reflect the communities they serve. That’s a J&J stated belief. People want to be comfortable being served by people who look like them

Follow the money kids. J&J as well as other companies pushed DEl because they received funding for it. With that revenue now gone with the new administration, these programs are dropping like flies. Except of course for J&J where the inmates are running the asylum now and have yet to "woke up"
