How often are contracts cut short?

How often are contracts cut short? It looks like most are 1 to 2 years. Do they usually last? How many people really get picked up by the company after the contract? Thanks

It is hard to say how often they are cut, some are cut short and some last the entire time period. I do know people that have been picked up on other contracts, it just depends on what the actual pharma company wants. The recruiters are not very good about calling former employees back, they do not show any loyalty.

Thanks for the info

They are cut short more often than not that is why when they say the contract last for whatever period it means absolutely nothing. The recruiters will immediately forget you once you are cut, you're on your own and they could really not give a shit about you. They won't return phone calls or emails. They have a sweet, permanent job and do the bare minimum to get by. This is a shit fourth rate company and so they have fourth rate shit employees.

Eli Lilly 3 year lasted 9 months - some of those reps were interviewed for Oleptro but were not selected. no loyalty. the drug companies can afford to hire directly but don't for these reasons. don't hold your breath or count on any lasting

My experience has been much better than the ones above. I've been picked up on the next contract to come along after each of my 4 contacts have ended. I've found Quintiles to be loyal, but every situation and contract are different. Good luck!

J&J never keep contracts through term.
