How many wish they would have listened to me?

I'll stick my neck out. 6500.

The 10 year note is at 1.77% so there is nowhere to go right now (except the insurance plans you brilliantly brought up. I'm proud of you son.). So as y'all call it on here, 'EPIC FAIL' for Mr. Kenya. Jimmy Carter can now rest in peace.

I appreciate the compliment. I still think there are good trades out there for those with the stomach for it. I picked up some more Sprint shares banking on an imminent iPhone announcement.

What surprised me today wasn't the fall, but that commodities also fell. I picked some GLD today and like that silver fell so I can continue buying physical silver for reasons you and I have discussed ;)

Man, that GLD hurt bad today. But hell, you can't win them all. Obama has really put a hurtin' on the overseas markets hasn't he? It like he's Obamageddoning the whole world!

Here's a picture for you of the happiest man in America.

I do.

I think we should take a poll:

"How badly will Obama destroy the market? Pick a number the Dow bottoms out at."

I don't think he'll ever get close to the Bushwhacker's mess. I'll say possibly low 10s at which point I'll be buying the shit outta stuff. The way I see it is - the value of the DOW isn't as important as the value of the dollar. But then if inflation happens, like MFAS says, we can all go on diets and do just fine.

PS - jk MFAS............

LOL! Vag, he's already far surpassed the "mess" of W. Are you doing hard drugs now? The economy was quite good for the overwhelming majority of his terms. The problems that cropped up at the end of his second term were not really of his making, but are the fault of (as usual) Dimocrats.

Inflation is coming. You can pretty much count on that. It's just a matter of when it will hit and how bad it will be, but we've printed far too much money for it not to kick in.

There is no doubt that Odummy has made things immeasurably worse. However, I think it is incorrect saying that it was all the fault of democrats. There were complicit Republicans.

If one looks honestly at Bush's presidency, it was filled with successes and failures. In all, I don't regret my vote for him, but he did disappoint.

Yes, Bush did try to reform Fannie and Freddie and was blocked by Bawney Fwank and the dems. However, he did as much to push homeownership as anyone. Bush was the one who pushed a new Medicare entitlement. Bush expanded the federal role in education. Bush pushed for amnesty. Bush nominated an unqualified woman for the Supreme Court.

It does not help the conservative cause when one is as blindly loyal to republicans as the libs are to democrats

Thus the name Sean Hannitool. Almost as obnoxious as Little Ricky Madcow on MSLSD.

Fair points all and I'm by no means blindly loyal to Republicans, just pointing at that for all his very real faults, things were much, much better under Bush and most of the major economic problems we encountered had their roots in Dimocratic policy aided by some Republicans.

The take home message that in a choice between Bush and Obama, there is no contest. Bush was/is far better.

Post of the month and I'll add, it also applies the other way around (had to add that since MFAS syas I'm a Libbie - LOL!)

Seriously, you're one of the few here that 'gets it'.

You are a libbie, otherwise you wouldn't be so foolish as to bash Bush relative to Obama.

You said, "I don't think he'll ever get close to the Bushwhacker's mess."

This is an incredibly foolish thing to say and something that is right out of the liberal talking points. It borders on insanity!

You are pro-gay, pro-abortion, pro-weed. These are hardly the makings of a conservative.

And just for the record, I'm not blindly loyal to the GOP, but I am fiercely loyal to the GOP. Why? Because the GOP is the home of modern conservatism. Because with the GOP we have some reasonable hope, with the Dims we have NO HOPE. Given these facts it's easy to be loyal to the GOP, but I'm never blindly loyal to much of anything.

For once I totally agree with you. I am likely not as blindly loyal to republicans as I appear on the boards, but would vomit on my keyboard if I typed that I would vote for obama over any one of them. I see the GOP faults but this guy has to go.

I think you lean left to be sure. Why are you so hung up about it? There are those here who think I am extreme right and those who think I'm not a 'true conservative'. So what? We all place people relative to ourselves.

I'm pro-freedom. Ever hear of the Libertarian Party?

You say you're not blindly loyal to the Republican party and then you make this statement?

Because with the GOP we have some reasonable hope, with the Dims we have NO HOPE.

Dude - that is BLIND loyalty!

I'm hung up about it? I'm here maybe 10 minutes a day and one person pelts me with it so I throw stuff back. People like him who buy the entire, rank and file kool-aid of either party are (IMHO) what's wrong with our country. They're sheep (either party).

Here's some info for you. 1) I've been voting a long time and have voted for more Republicans than Democrats in my life 2) If you want to know which way I'm leaning - take a listen. If you don't understand it there's nuttin' I can do...

I'm farther to the right than you and I'm also farther to the left than you.

What's the time parameter on this estimate?
