How many reps live in fear of being fired?

I don't fear it, if it happens, life goes on. Some RDs try to make reps live in fear which is sad. I don't really believe that they are looking for reasons to fire people. If you are stupid enough to log calls on a dr who is deceased you probably deserve to get fired.

If you are doing your job, seeing your doctors enough and being compliant you will be fine.
 






If that's the case, I should be just fine. Except I'm not!!!! Constant fear of not finishing ahead of the Nation even though I exceed my quota. I do why I'm asked, I keep my mouth shut and stay compliant! I guess I need to figure out how to become my RD's favorite. Then I can do what I want.

Maybe if you stayed off CP a little more and put that same effort into working the job you are being paid for things might get better for you Porky! Moron.

It's actually very difficult to get fired at Shire. You actually need to break compliance or do something unethical. If you are working hard, entering calls, up to date on samples and you are a positive influence, you have nothing to worry about. Don't let your RD allow you to feel that way. It you feel like you have been singled out, complain to HR. Also, make sure to document everything that you RD does/says.

I love the professionalism that some of Shires people demonstrate. First, someone that is on CafePharma tells another to quit spending so much time on here. Then they proceed to call them Porky and a Moron. Amazing! Did it ever occur to you that the reason we speak our voice here is because you can't do it to your boss. Didn't Bonnell say in Atlanta that he didn't want anyone to feel pressure to sell our products. Too bad that doesn't filter down to the RD's!

You must work for another Shire. The Shire I know does fire and will fire at will whether you are perm or contractor. This industry, including Shire, has ZERO human element. The employee is the LAST investment. The Boardroom doesn't care about us bc there are 15 million out there clambering for work.

With my RD today... It is a strange feeling to be aware of the fact that they hope you quit just by the look in their eyes... Despite good numbers and tenure Im just not one of the favs... Live in fear of being fired? No. Would I be suprised if it happened when it is convenient for them? Not at all.

Convenience is definitely a factor of firing with most RD's . Which ever way the wind blows and how easy it is!!
