How long before Kowa folds








Put your business hat on for a moment and think about KCL from their standpoint. What's in it for them to stay in the US? K877 flopped and that was their largest investment. It's cheaper for them to withdraw from the US, save the overhead, and regroup and re-enter the US market at a later time when they are ready to launch a product again. That's the best deal for KCL and for them to make it happen means separating from seglentis and selling off to another type of company that wants to take it on. Unless of course everyone can gain traction with seglentis to make it worthwhile for kowa.
 



The copay card is cumbersome. The efficacy is questionable. Still no viable leave behind marketing materials. Most scripts are of the family & friend variety. I’m sure we will be given a few months to jump start this product, but after that? Plans and terminations to minimize any severance payouts. Farley received a promotion at a bad time.
 



Seglentis will never be worth while. Best bet is to put all efforts back on Livalo and find a new product to co promote. I think we are good till the end of summer but lots of people will be on plans.
 






Kowa isn't going anywhere. We will contract with someone else to sell another dog with fleas but the point is the company will be here. If you want to sell a meaningful drug that can help patients, I suggest you go somewhere else. If you don't care what you sell so you have a paycheck, I would say stay and enjoy the ride.
