How is the new pension supposed to promote loyalty and talent retention?

With the old pension gone in January 2026, what would be the edge J&J holds over its competitors and what would be the justification for young work force to stay loyal to J@J and not quit after 2-3 years?

Every decision made by J&J is a move away from having a pension at all. The Consumer split is just another massive catalyst. Eliminate heads at legacy J&J, force people to Kenvue (bye bye pension) and ultimately have people leave due to uncertainty. Win win win.

No sense in having retention or loyalty. Gig economy in the making, look for a new job every 2 to 3 years. All going according to plan.

They don't want your loyalty and they do not care. You are living in the past. They are about appeasing wall street, the Credo is toilet paper, they do not care that they the wages are on the low side. They do not care that the benefits are now minimal and getting worse, and that your contribution is much higher. They don't care that the cafe prices are crazy high and is more expensive than going out side. They don't care that people would rather WFH or be in the office two days, not three days and are about to increase it to four while making it clear they will fire you for non compliance. They like that employees are worried and upset and not sure what is going on. They are about treating employees in the worst way that can be tolerated, with zero qualms, while paying the executives and managers sky high salaries, WHILE doling out miniscule small raises AND laying off the anyone over fifty so they can abuse the younger ones and pay them less. Management cannot be any more clear: You don't like it? Oh well. Rinse repeat it's a feature not a bug kids. Looks like those people who made it out alive over to KV are the ones who made out and I've heard there is a lot of relief. Take a look around you. Everyone is leaving. And they still do not care. Welcome to the 2023 Reboot of a Once Great Company to work at. It's over.

Welcome to reality, J&J cannot keep paying legacy pension and future pension for employees are contributing little and enjoying perks.. At least they are trying to do something so we don’t end up as GE or GM … Kenvue is same as in the pat… the folks who brought consumer to knees are now running the same business .. what do u think will happen
