How does Mark T survive as CEO? Every moves he makes is wrong. He thinks MNK is such a great company, and his leadership acumen is so strong that he can't learn from anyone else. "If we are big enough to buy a Questcor/Ikaria/Cadence/Therakos then we must be SMARTER than them too," he figures. So he gets rid of all the management who actually made those businesses great, turns them over to big Pharma know-nothings and lets the idiot bureaucrats in St. Louis slow everything down even further with their foolishness. No wonder every company they buy underperforms to their own internal expectations! Why doesn't the board wake up, take a look at their stock price, and realize that the days of buying a product and jacking up the price is OVER. That was MNK's only trick, and now it's gone. Now Mark and his band of incompetent senior managers will actually have to figure out how to make MNK a better owner for products than the originators. History shows that isn't likely to happen...
