How do these Cubans get into the country?

I think I heard something recently that the Cuban Government is going to let the baseball players work in the US so they don't have to defect.

I bet Fidel died years ago and the Cuban government is using a body double to pass off that he is still alive.

I love Cuban food though. A good cuban sandwich with cafe con leche, maduros (fried plantains), arroz con pollo, ropa vieja is awesome. I highly recommend Versailles in South Beach/Miami.

Sounds about right - he's probably freeze-dried and kept in a temperature controlled vault for photo ops.

I think their government would be smart to encourage them to play here and collect an 'income tax' just like our government does to Americans working abroad. 10 % of $86 million is a hell of a lot more than they make with him there. For that, let them come and go like normal people and visit their families.

Agree on Cuban cigars, food and women. I'll be n Brazil soon and the 1st thing I will do is have glass of sugar cane liquor (pre-rum) and a Havana cigar.

I was married to a half-Cuban woman and they're passionate but - they throw things when they get pissed off. Three things you gotta remember: 1) Smile 2) "Who are you gonna believe baby? Me or your eyes?"
and if those don't work - DUCK !!!
