How in the world can a company not count 20% of the sales for a month?

Did anyone see the email today? I'm not a math person but as I understand it they will not be counting 20% of November sales.

First we get crazy growth goals and now this.

WTF!
 






Not sure what division you are in, but this jacking around with incentive plans, quotas, and payouts has become standard across the company. They tell you your goals after the quarter ends and expect you feel motivated!?

WTF is right. Going to the 4-5-5 week schedule and substracting 20% for week 5 in November. How about the fact week 5 is only 3 days long because of Thanksgiving but subtracting a full 20%. Completely amazing.
 












Are you in MS Division? Im interviewing with them so I want to know if this is how they work?

It doesn't matter what division you are in or interviewing for, they are all doing the similar things as the "Sanofization" continues to take over Genzyme. You really need to consider if this is the right company to work for, do your due diligence before starting here.
 






That's the thing. I have asked reps who work in that Division and they all claim to be happy. I'm not sure if they are being honest or afraid to tell me how they feel.
 






this is for the Sepra division. but as the previous person said Sanofi makes everything standard across all divisions. if you are used to BIG pharma then you may be fine. In our division we have struggled with getting quotas 1 or even 1 1/2 months into a quarter. Then they do funny math. Months are often not full months. You make only have 4 weeks in a month. It is just crazy. Quotas have to signed off by 5 different levels of people which takes forever. Then they are always adjusting and readjusting. How can we be accountable to a number we get almost a month or 2 into the quarter. never worked for a company like this. Take a good look before you make a decision to work for Sanofi. You will be just a number.

I noticed that. The folks at the MS Division seem awesome. But the company itself? I didn't take the offer. Their non compete said Sanofi all over it. If you sign it, you are at disadvantage no matter which way you look at it. I find the comments on the "funny Math" true. Their formula for calculating a bonus didn't make sense to me. It's simple math right? But no. They have a magic formula that when they enter the numbers, the amount comes out to less.....
