How are you going to explain it?

How are you going to explain Amarin on your resume?

Most people thought this was a dumb decision coming here, and it appears they were right. Now the news is the bottom 50% of producers were cut, which is not true.

How do we explain it in an interview?

Explain it like you do your tiny dick, just that you have a lil stack of dimes there and that's it.

I just say I picked the wrong horse. Was sold the moon and left with a bunch of broken promises.
Had a great boss and great RD or I wouldn't have stayed till the end.

You need to paint your own picture. You are a sales person right? Well sell yourself. If you can't do that, maybe it was performance based on why they cut you.

What a bunch of dicks, damn right I am a sales person. Me being cut didn't have anything to do with performance, it was being honest and doing what was right. I didn't sell with the JELIS trial, I didn't say dha caused prostate cancer, I didn't tell the docs that ANCHOR definitely would be approved, our SPA dictated that and to NOT buy stock would be a mistake.

I still produced more than some entire districts! Trust me, this is not over.

If anyone else has similar stories, begin them here. I will do my best to communicate openly. This company is a bunch of crooks. I took this job to feed my family and now look where I am. A bunch of sleeve bags!

I plan on having an honest discussion about my time here- what we were promised and what transpired were 2 different things

My sales were very good and I am in a major metro area and I still got cut. Most interviewers will know the basics on the Amarin fiasco. Just keep it positive

I agree. I too was in a major metro area and got cut. I was told to use SOAR-situation. . . to explain it. Let's face it we all came here of our own volition, we were not forced to take the job-even if we were unemployed, we could have waited for another opportunity- we all drank the Kool-aid then.

But think about it, we are sales people, if we cannot sell this situation then maybe we should think of another career.

truth is....

they took the top potential territories, not performers. Where can amarin maximize the sales.

They are willing to tank the 100 per month in territory "A" for the potential of 250 per month in territory "B" even if "B" is only doing 30 a month today.

Nothing to be embarrased about. Other pharma companies might do a double take on you because you went to Amarin in the first place, not because you were laid off.

Hey, bitter pill, what is a "sleeve bag"?

It sucks to say... but I am SO glad I wasn't the only one cut who WAS performing. I had awesome numbers and thought I would be safe because I am in a major metropolitan area AND had the BEST numbers, by far, in the entire state. I was cut while they kept someone else who wasn't performing as well as I was.

Did anyone else get a phone call from Aaron B?

I was told the areas that were kept was an analytical process that was based on the potential of the area. Apparently, I had tapped out the market in my area by doing too well.

Me too! Hold your head and be proud! Sometimes it's prior relationships that keep a rep around.
