How are Severance Agreements being mailed in?

How are some of you mailing in your signed Severance Agreements? Snail mail, registered/certified, FedEx Overnight, etc.?

After mailing are you following up with anyone by phone to ensure that it has been received?

AMEN and Right On! "Screwed us for years, shame on you, screwed us again, shame on me." As Patrick Swazey stated in Road House...."Be nice"..."Be nice until it is time not to be nice!!!Name the Managers, RD, and OU General Manager also, so you can personally go after them after you win. That is legal you know and then they and their family can suffer as you have.

You can still send in your agreements and sue due to the fact that nobody can take these rights away from you. Don't let them fool you.

TALKED TO A LAWYER THE OTHER DAY THEY GOT NOVARTIS TO EXTEND THE DEADLINE TO THE 31ST, SAYS NOVARTIS WAS SUPPOSED TO LET US KNOW, ASKED IF I A COMMUNICATION? SAID NO, THEY SAID IT FIGURED NOVARTIS WOULDN'T TELL US. BUT BASICALLY ONCE THAT'S SIGNED NO RECOURSE.

I just love how we can get a lot of cryptic answers to a simple question. Come on guys and gals, carrier pigeon, pony express and "don't sign it" just won't cut it! I think I will send mine in certified as the advice offered here has been useless.

Good morning. I hope you didn't expect an intelligent response to your question. Asking for such on CP is like asking for customer service. Sending it in some form so as to insure that you can prove they received it on time is probably a good idea. I don't remember any recommendations from the company as to how to do this other than the pre addressed envelope which came with the package. Good luck.

Never let the bastards get you down.

Thanks I appreciate your advise and agree that intelligence is somewhat lacking at times. I like humor as much as anyone else, but sometimes there is time for humor and sometimes it is best to just try to be constructive.

Does anyone know where to find a confirmation from Novartis that the deadline for signing and returning severance agreement HAS been extended? Has anyone seen this in writing and where did you see this?

You will have to send it in another envelope as the manner in which they provided will not allow for registration or certified mail.

The postage paid return envelope has a PO Box address on it. Many of us are looking to get confirmation that the package got there. Can Fedex, UPS, or USPS certified mail deliver to a address with a PO Box? Thanks.

no they will not deliver to a po box..send it the way they told you...in the package...you cannot get a confirmation it arrived but you can ask for a verificiation notice that you mailed it and what day...gives you proof...i would not risk mailing it another way....just wouldnt risk it...talked to hr...just mail it in..they not gonna screw us out of money...they want to pay and move on just like we should...take the money...and holla

Does anyone know the phone number and the contact person at Novartis HR if any questions regarding this process? Are you aware of an extension of deadline until the 31st of January to sign and return agreement? Where can this be found in writing for those interested in hearing back from law firm investigating layoffs? They will not be completing their investigation until after 22nd deadline and claim an extension on that deadline has been verified by HR at Novartis. I haven't seen or heard squat from Novartis about an extension making not signing now seem very risky.
