Man, he must be reading deferent polls than you or needs a super genius like you to interpret them for him because he sure isn't acting like your ideas are winning. This is from an article posted on HotAir based on an article from the NYT. There have been no denials, "walk backs" or attempts to modify them in any way by Boehner or anyone in the GOP House leadership.

I got a question for you fuck up, if the polls were on your side, why would Boehner be planning for when the "Republican position collapses" and worrying about "saving the House Republican Caucus"?

"They are only trying to survive another day, Republican strategists say, hoping to maintain unity as long as possible so that when the Republican position collapses, they can capitulate on two issues at once — financing the government and raising the debt ceiling — and head off any internal party backlash. Republican lawmakers say Mr. Boehner has assured them privately that he will not permit a default.

“I do not believe he’s primarily concerned with saving his speakership. He’s concerned with saving the House Republican Conference,” said Vin Weber, a former Republican House member who advises the current House leadership…"

In public, Boehner has to continue to put up the bluff that he will push the US over the cliff in order to keep his craziest faction in line. Only probelm is this crazy talk is driving the GOP (Grey Old Party)'s polls even lower.

There will not be much to save as the Grey Old Party's brand continues to disintigrate and Boehner is forced to wait until the last minute to capitulate.
