Horrible people to work with, lab managers, staff, supply chain?

We've all been forced to deal with them, the people that work in the OR, cath lab, purchasing, surgical suites, etc. The hospital employees that are miserable, crazy, downright horrible people. Not the guy or girl that just happens to have a bad day, I'm talking about the person that is always grumpy, probably bi-polar and rude with a chip on their shoulder. We're talking non-physicians. Call them out.

Based in Texas and cover a few states in my current territory, so I have a big sample size. For starters, I'd say pretty much anybody that works at Baylor Heart and Vascular in Dallas, a whole group of people who go out of their way to insult vendors. Christa Kretzmeier at Banner Heart in Mesa, crabby and crazy, thinks way to much of herself when her opinion doesn't matter.

rep here....who gives a shit. You are just another rep to walk through the door with a bullshit story your sold on why your widget is the best. Get over yourselves. Most of these people are miserable because they have to deal with us on a regular basis.

This. 95% of reps come in with their agenda, and are oblivious to the reality that these people don't give a shit about who is using what, and why. If you make even a feeble attempt to personalize yourself and your products, you probably wouldn't be treated the way you are.

I'm a 20 plus year Device guy and I can say with complete honesty the new bread of Territory Manager is self centered cocky little douche who can't see the,sun through the trees. These people are there to support Doctors we are there to sell shit get over it and learn to be human and appreciate your surroundings.

As a previous RT, there are plenty of reps that suck and are asking for it, but there are also people like yourself that have been doing this for 20 years, know what you're talking about and do a good job compared to most reps. I've had a few good friends that were from industry that were like this. I know other hospitals liked working with them, at the same time these same reps would get treated unfairly from some people in the OR just becuase they were reps.

I disagree, if you work in the OR you don't have to love the reps that come in the door, but there is such thing as professional courtesy. In my experience most people are pretty good to work with in the labs, but there is always one or two that are all around bad people.

My favorite person is the one that complains that the reflection of the laser pointer blinds them and is destroying their sight. LOL Are you serious? I know of 2 scrub techs in my hospitals that are guilty of this
