Honest Reposnes - A few questions

1. How much vacation time is given?

2. Are you given the week between christmas and new years off as part of your package?

3. As for your car, I know you don't have to pay but do you put personal miles in and they deduct that from the paycheck?

4. How much is medical benefits monthly for a family?

5. Co-pays for doctors? Prescriptions?

6. Quarterly bonuses? I believe target is 25K? Is this correct? Are they usually paid out higher if you exceed goal? If so how much higher?

I would truly appreciate honest feedback here. I am in the process for a job and you don't know my current situation so don't speculate and tell me to run for the hills. I just want honest feedback as I am debating between two positions. Thanks in advance.

Re: Honest Responses - A few questions

Thank you for your answers that helps out a ton. The vacation time really sucks. I wonder if there's any flexibility with that.

I am being sincere when i say this, why not you ask the DM interviewing you? You will be able to get a full read if the DM knows their stuff as well. It depends on your current situation, you could get three weeks for vacation if that is what you are getting now with your current employer. You do not get money taken out monthly for the company car but at the end of the year, you do get money taken out for tax purposes, anywhere between 250 and 500 is the norm. Health benefits are actually great compared to other companies. The bonus plan is fair comparing to other companies as well but goals change every quarter, not a yearly goal so its hard to continue to make top dollar. To be honest with you, if you don't mind everyday changes and are willing to deal with a trial and error process, it's not that bad.

Re: Honest Responses- A few questions

This all helps. I will ask the hiring DM but I feel reps are more honest. You know a DM can tell you what you want to hear and you dont find out any exact details until they extend you an offer. With that being said, he mentioned no cost for car but didnt say there were tax costs at end of year. I am in the middle of a few interviews and trying to find out as much ahead of time as I can so I can make a fair and reasonable decision. Again, the honesty from sales professionals is always better than reps.

I love when 10 people chime in to answer the same thing that post 2 covered, typical Dey tell em, tell em what you toild em, tell em again! I would love to see a DMs face when they ask you 'is there anything holding you back from taking this position' and some idiot says vacation and holiday shutdown- LOL! Yeah DMs have a ton of control on that, why not ask for a fully loaded SUV over a fusion while you're at it! HAHAHAHA!!!
