Holiday Shutdown Should Become Standard

If HR is listening I think they should heed the advice that the shutdown between the winter holidays should just become standard. A NEW BMS company and culture, combined with low morale due to the social climate of the US and the pandemic, is a great reason to make this standard. The will they/won’t they that is played every year around this time for “special employee recognition days” gets old and makes it tough to truly plan for the holidays.

C’mon leadership! If you’re listening show that you are TRULY trying to change the culture and make this a standard benefit, like almost every other major Pharma/biotech company out there!

Lost my pharma job due to Covid lay-off. What I wouldn’t give to be working during the Christmas vacation just to be back in a good-paying job with benefits. Think about it.

We've had them 2 of 3 past years. Announced on 9/15/17 and 9/16/19. I wouldn't hold my breath for this year given the climate, but we should know soon if they will. No news is bad news, there wasn't any announcement in 2018 that we wouldn't have them.

We should all start out with 4 weeks vacation anyway as we are way behind Europe who average 40+ days a year. Either way, previous poster is right, be thankful we have a job for now.

Be glad you have a job and quit whining about time off when you already sit on your ass at home and pretend to work. Joke of a sales force. And you want MORE vacation??!
