hiring freeze

If there is, which is probably true but not widely publicized, then you better dust your resume off. Mike Pearson doesn't care if you live or die. He doesn't care if you can provide for your family. I was laid off in 2008 after he came on board with Valeant and he lied to all of us about our jobs being safe.

Valeant is a total sham.

Since most of Rochester was laid off I would say yes

WP increased the number of new people working in Rochester probably by 20%. Valeant cut maybe 5 to 10% of this. The public disclosure of layoffs in Rochester maybe 400 with another 200 in December possible. Not a huge cutback so in 2014 if Valeant needs to make the 800 million in savings they promised by the end of 2014 there is likely more cuts to go.

New hiring would only be for hiring buddies of management or replacement of key jobs of people that are leaving due to the uncertainty. Hiring freeze. What is frozen is a good understanding of whether anyone at B+L will have a job in a year or two. Not a place to start a new career.

I'm talking sales vacancies...they have been filling then all along...note all of the sudden they have stopped.

If you require a link you have your head in the sand. They have eliminated 1 area sales director; one of which has been with Bausch 6 years. Get a clue!

Sales Director? Really? This is post-worthy? Info on structure, alignment, reorganization, pipeline info, product release and development, plant closures, head count adjustments - that's the stuff we're all here hoping to get the inside track on. One measly little sales director vaporizing from a long under-performing sales group is not news. Now if someone were to post that there's a new sales / marketing initiative and the Customer Service and Operations groups should be getting geared up for a bustle of activity, bring in the temps, and overtime - that would be newsworthy.

What's the latest on what B+L is doing to square off w/ Alcon? Since a big part of California was wiped out (not that they really had a clue what was going on anyway) has a new group been formed to give Alcon a run for their money in this race?
