Hiring Freeze?

I am just wondering if there is a hiring freeze at Forest. It seems as if there are a lot of open job postings on the Forest website that have been posted there for quite some time. Any insight would be appreciated. I have recently applied, so just wondering.

If there was such things going on as posted above then that would make sense. I know of two openings in my state that were just filled. We do not have low access or sales. I would think that if the new COPD med gets approved that will stop that process. They will need all hands on deck for it.

Thank you for your honest answers. I really appreciate it. Mind mentioning the region the new hires we just selected in? Thanks again! I have seen openings on the site that have been posted for months...so that is what made me question a freeze.

Everyone I ever met at Forest were head cases and a-holes. I doubt even their management knows what the plan is. They are not interviewing anymore.

Really? How many of the over 4000 employees have you met? There is not a hiring freeze. Positions remain posted until the person hired officially starts. Sure, there is a possibility of layoffs but there is not a hiring freeze.

Of course there's not a hiring freeze; Forest has 30% turnover every year and hires constantly.

They leave the postings up a while even after the positions are filled because so many people have bailed out taking other positions with other companies right before the start date due to being offered a more desirable salary. Also, a significant number of hires find out they do not like it at Forest. The managers have a stack of resumes should you not work out. The longer the posting is up, the more resumes they receive. They also are interviewing for people in the POD that they are planning to replace at the same time (but of course those people do not know that!) Forest has a lot of turn over.
