I've never understood the adoration for JJ. Everybody talks about his success at OBI but that was pre competition and regulation, but as competition and regulation ramped up, he had no answer and oversaw the decline. As he was shoved out of JNJ, he really was a non-factor at Imclone/Lilly. Then he goes to Savient, and in one of his first personnel moves, brings over his chief lapdog Lou Ferrari. Savient is in bankruptcy. Now since he's been with us, incurs a pile of costs by making sure he doesn't have to go to Seattle, brings in lapdog #2 in Joe DePinto and has driven us into a wall.

His MO is to talk a big game, lead the cheers without any substance, surround and insulate himself with sycophants, and bail when times get tough.

What am I missing?

There is not much adoration for the guy. You are just reading hundreds of posts for 3 years from one person protecting his long investment that went from 57 to 2. Some people do not have it in them to admit being wrong and they live in such deep denial that they continue to double down. The guy has probably lost everything. That would explain his sad behavior.

European approval of provenge last month, sales up 8% last quarter, strong sales uptake this quarter, immunotherapy the talk of ASCO 2013, provenge gaining wider acceptance among key medical opinion leaders, predictive treatment biomarkers on the way, sequencing-combo provenge clinical trials ongoing with read outs soon, studies for lable expansion, a successful national ad campaign, automated lower cost manufacturing for 2014, and a follow on product in the name of Neuvenge for bladder cancer and it becomes clear that the future of our company is bright.

I think it's that one shameless long investment holder. Seen him in a couple of places. Something isn't right with him.

Any doubt that the end is near? Sure the sales force is safe--for now--but all the reps I talk to are digging hard to get out of here. I'll take whatever they want to throw at me in terms of retention-for now-but that will just be used to as a bargaining chip on negotiating my next gig.

That is what I heard as well. I would not go there no matter what Medivation paid me. The environment at Medivation is toxic. Glad I came here. Dendreon's pay and environment is far better.
