Can someome please help me with this. Probably going through layoffs soon, and am interested in this, please serious answers only:

Wondering a general base pay range, and how bonus plan looks, how many reps for Tysabri now, and what kind of working conditions here. If you know anything about the territory or why there is an opening (was it a firing, or is it ranked pretty low, etc) any info will be helpful, Thanks!

Job Description Minneapolis St. Paul - Tysabri In this field based, Specialty Sales representative position you will be called upon to represent our Neurology products, Tysabri with Key stakeholders in the Multiple Sclerosis community: including Neurologists, allied health professionals, local MS chapters, and pharmacy directors at managed care organizations.

You will convey complex clinical, and reimbursement information to these groups so that all appropriate patients can benefit from therapy.

Utilize strong interpersonal skills to establish relationships of trust that allow for directed probing to uncover the customer's needs. Develop solutions within the Biogen Idec framework that meet these needs.

Develop plans for the candidates business territory that are executable and focus on getting the greatest benefit to the greatest number of MS patients given available resources. Communicate openly with peers, supervisors, and all company personnel with the objective of improving the quality of our business.
Qualifications Minimum 5+ years pharmaceutical sales or biotech sales experience required. Experience with reimbursement issues, product launch, and injectable/infusion product selling experience desired.
Education BS/BA required, MBA a plus

lets see, big pharma model, 300 reps, all calling on same docs, target little or no experience reps. Low base compared to what the experienced people make. Bonuses will go down, RSUs will go down. If you are making twice what Chucks new people make, what do think will happen to you. Exec ABMs make more than the some RDs now, why would they keep us.

First of all, I am sorry that you may be facing lay-offs in your current position and sorry that some people are so rude on here.
Biogen is an outstanding place to work. I don't know anything about the specific position you asked about, but I say go for it. Apply. Pay is on par with the industry.
