So the powers that be at Conmed Largo continue their attempt at staffing up and replacing all of the lost talent
after relocation of the Anaheim facility. Sad state of affairs at Largo as we continue to hire underqualified staff.
10's of thousands of dollars of scrap product and rework each month. The solution stops at the door and falls in the hands of those responsible for new hires. The current process of using a middle man with only phone interviews is a fail. We are paying up to 5k for relocation only to have the employee show op and leave the company within weeks. Basically a paid trip to Florida on our dime.

We need the right tools, and cnc machine accessories (end mills, drills, etc). The expensive stuff we can't afford because we aren't making enough profit to afford it. Some major influence towards bad product is the pressure to "keep up" with others who give fast and clean productivity. It's in every department. And nobody will confess or take ownership. The A.O., technician, maybe an engineer.... But most of the time there's some witness watching someone work safe and accurate, and pressure them to move faster and make more mistakes. Overlooking steps in quality in order to get the quantity out fast.
