incredibly political. will say all the right things. poor focus and struggles to make decisions. not great at sharing and really pushes women's issues/advancement. she is bright and articulate but not a great leader and failed miserably in her final amgen role.

Helen did a great job in the NBU as the GM. Yes she had the best sales and marketing people but one should give her credit for appointing them.

That’s funny. The NBU was where the LEAST qualified reps and marketers were. Oncology has always been and always will be the cream of the crop at Amgen. NBU??? No one even cares nor wants to be in that joke of a‘primary care’ division.

Seriously, Helen, like most “leaders” at Amgen, talks a good game, micromanages people to death and takes far too much credit for even the smallest of accomplishments. If you like new process and procedures for the sake of having a new process and procedure than you will love her. She is an organizer not a thinker, she is a manager not a leader, she "changes" thing for changes sake. If it’s not here idea it’s a bad one and if it is her idea it is “flawless”. Best of luck if she is at your company now…

Wow! So much anger! In order for you to talk high about oncology, you don't need to put nephrology down. Today's NBU is not what NBU used to look like five years ago and as you may know NBU contributed a lot to Amgen for 20 years.

You are angry at Helen for whatever reason but don't be unfair to the reps in the NBU and don't disparage them. It is counter productive.

nice mouth and response, show the class of yourself and the group. opinions, like speech, are free. you can offer one or choose not to. clearly you chose to offer one on other posters yet you post yourself. interesting. i suspect you are helen or you were her lover. you like the big posterior and accent. come on, you can admit it. it's ok.

She lacked leadership and control of her team. She did not have a clue to what the reps were dealing with in a daily basis and looked to blame people rather than mobilize resources to help with obstacles.

Let's just hope that Chris T is not behind this garbage because it'll be sad. This was not the job of the GM to know about the reps issues in a daily basis. That was the responsibility of the VP of the Sales that was Chris T.

I'm in the OBU and I found the NBU reps to be highly qualified and intelligent. I don't know what you're talking about

Seriously? I have to disagree. You can just listen to the questions they ask to know that they are clueless. It is a glorified primary care job and there is not one of them who is not dying to get out and into the OBU to gain oncology experience.
