As Assistant Coach of the CP Pick 'Em squad, I want to keep you folks in shape during the lag time prior to the bowl games. I know team members tend to get lazy when not actively in competition so this is to keep your juices flowing.

Everyone gets ONE PICK for the winner. No place or show. We don't play that shit. ONE PICK AND ONE PICK ONLY. We are going for the fences in one swing here, ok troops?

Ok, as I've made clear before I fear that Mr. 'Teo' gets the trophy on the sympathy vote. Why? Because that's what America has turned into. Look at your schools. Even the village idiot deserves an 'award' to build self esteem. The girl in given the 'award' over a deserving male because women have been exploited. Affirmative Action rewards mediocrity to promote social justice. I mean the shit just goes on and on and on and on. And I am getting damned tired of it. If it begins to infiltrate sports I don't know what the fuck I'm going to do. Sports is my escape from all of society's ills. If they come here too it will destroy my only refuge. I'll be a prisoner in this shit hole.

You notice that there is only 2 defensive players on the list. Jarvis Jones and Mr. "Teo". They had to add Jones to make it look good, so that the ONLY defensive player on the list did not win the Heisman and make it look suspicious. When's the last time a defensive player won the damn HEISMAN and, trust me, there have been some college defensive players over the years who make Mr. "Teo" look like he's a high schooler. ALL of them were overlooked by the Heisman committee. Now Mr. "Teo" suddenly becomes the favorite for the 2012 HEISMAN??? Horseshit. It's all political.

Where is Alec Oglebee - the LB from Georgia. Did you watch him in the Tide game. The man's an absolute stud. Big as a locomotive and fast as a jaguar with hands like glue. What about CJ Mosely - the LB from the Tide. There's another magnificent specimen for ya? Any mention by the HEISMAN committee? Fuck no.

And what about the QB from Oregon - Marcus Mariota. The kid didn't put up the numbers like Johnny Football or Braxton Miller or Calvin Klein simply by virtue of the fact that Oregon was normally ahead by a gazillion points by halftime and Marcus was pulled from the game to give the backup a chance. But Marcut Mariota is every bit as good as Johnny Football or Miller or Klein. Trust me on that. In fact, I contend he's even better.

Ok, who do I pick??? Well, naturally my brain says Mr. "Teo" but goddamnit I refuse to compromise my values and make a pick based on the sympathy vote.

If everything is done fairly, I think QB JOHNNY FOOTBALL MANTZIEL should get the HEISMAN award. Naturally, the committee will RATIONALIZE that QB Johnny Football has 3 more years to win the HEISMAN so they will not do the RIGHT THING and award the trophy to the MOST DESERVING PLAYER. It will go to an upperclassmen since he already has one foot outside the door.

Oh, and if Mr. "Teo" wins the Heisman I am going to turn on a dime and throw all my emotional energy behind the Tide in the NC game. If Mr. "Teo" is not chosen, I will cheer for Notre Dame.

So there you have it, folks. That's my pick and my position on this matter.

What say you??? :D

Oh, btw, I watched that QB Jordan Lynch from No. Illinois play last week. He is one darned good QB and impressed the hell out of me. I bet he will be a top draft pick. He could make it in any top name college in the country. I'm surprised that he settled on No. Illinois.

I would be happy as a big 'ol swine rolling in the mud if No. Illinois beats FSU. Man oh man. The State of Florida would never live that one down, eh?

And I am ready to call for the first upset in the 2012 BCS bowl games.

YEP!!! No. Illinois beats FSU by a TD or more!!!

YOU HEARD IT FIRST HERE, FOLKS!!!!

Johnny Football

Good. You and I agree, Pale. I gotta admit. That Johnny Football is a one phenomenal player for his age and his very limited college playing time. He's like the prodigal son of college football who defies all the unstated rules. And the HEISMAN committee better not hold that against this kid. I don't give a damn if he's only 15 years old - I judge based on PERFORMANCE and nothing else. I don't care about his GPA, his year in school, what conference he belongs to, whether his mom died during the season, the pigment of his skin color, whether he believes in God, his religion, how big or small his pecker is, if he was born an orphan, whether he has A.D.D - none of that would influence my vote. I simply observe him in action and pick the most TALENTED player on the field. No more, no less. And I think Johnny Football is the best man on the list

As I said before, there should be others more deserving on that HEISMAN list but I gotta play the hand I'm dealt. So I go with Johnny Football.

I agree w/ your assessment.

Definitely Johnny Manziel. He put up over 4,000 yards (3,000 Passing & 1,000 Rushing) on some of the toughest defenses in the country. Johnny doesn't play that fun and gun West Coast (Soccer with Pads football). He plays in the toughest pound em and ground em conference in the country and that is why he is truly deserving of The Heisman.

I hope Johnny gets it this year because everyone in the SEC will be gunning for him next year. He is to small not to get injured at some point.

Like I said, if Marcus Mariota from Oregon got as much playing time in as Johnny Football during the regular season, Marcus' numbers would outshine Johnny Football's.

Don't believe me? Compare Marcus' numbers with Johnny and extrapolate Marcus' throwing and running numbers had he played the same number of minutes as Johnny.

It's too bad that defensive players don't get the recognition that they deserve. But football is all about scoring touchdowns to the average fan. The average fan has no idea of how to rate a defensive player. And, of course, the QB's get all the glory. But that's fine. The banana is curved and we'll never change that. So might as well just accept it.

I'm very surprised that all of us so far picked Johnny Football.

As I warned you, don't be surprised if Mr. "Teo" takes it home. Our country is sliding down the slippery slope of political correctness. Superficiality over substance in almost all aspects of life.

"Cocaine is one hell of a drug..."

And when Louisiana Monroe first beat the Razorbacks you were shellshocked for a couple days too, weren't ya?

Did you watch them play Kent State?

Get ready for another replay.

No. Illinois over FSU!

But if circumstances change I reserve the right to change my mind at pick time.

If you examine the HEISMAN candidates you will notice that NOT ONE from the team that is DEFENDING it's national championship crown this year on January 7 - namely THE ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE is on that list.

Funny shit. heh.

What say you, BamaBoy?

Hell, they even have a player from No. Illinois on that list.

What a slam! heh. :D

Yeah BAMA just has a bunch of All American Players and several players who were finalist for the Butkus and Negurski Awards. I would much rather have National Championships than Heisman winners. The Oregon player Kenjon Barner was not even in the top 3 who were invited to New York. If the player was not even invited it does not really count.

The Heisman is the Poor Man's National Championship Trophy. I am glad Johnny Manziel won tonight because he will not win the Heisman again. He will now be a marked man in the SEC and someone will take him out.

Well, it's Johnny Football for the win!

This restored some of my faith in NCAA football.

Ok, so now it's settled. I'm all in for the Irish in the NC game.

Go Teo! Go Golson! Go Coach Kelly! Bring home a win for the Pope and the Catholics!

I'll go to church tomorrow and say a prayer for an Irish victory!

I noticed that Teo was in the neighborhood as far as points go with Johnny Football. But Klein was a distant, distant (and I mean distant) third.

When there is that far of a spread in the Heisman rankings something is wrong. They selected the wrong candidates.

Klein is lucky that the Heisman winner is picked prior to the bowl games and not after. Because once he played Oregon I doubt he would even be listed as a candidate.

Too damn bad not one Tide player was on the HEISMAN candidate list. Saban should file a protest with the NCAA and call for an investigation. :D

Bama has the greatest college football coach in America. Period! He can win with Heisman-type players, or without. He can get guys to subjugate their roles for the team. I also judge this by number of high draft picks, and guys that are productive NFL players. Many Heisman winners never had a prayer of playing in the NFL.

Libluvs, whatdya kissin' BamaBoy's ass for? He's in 5th position.

If you're going to kiss somebody's ass - kiss Fucktard's. She the Queen! :D

I would, but don't think that I'm on Fuckie's list of favorite people. After seeing Nick up close for five years at Michigan State, I have total faith in him.
