Would not surprise me. He seemed to get it and understand the process. Don't get me wrong he was a part of the "good ole boys" network, but actually seemed like he was a decent guy.

I hope this is just a rumor and he is not gone. Wouldn't we have received some kind of communication if this were true? He was such a great guy and part of the reason I came here. If it is true, I would feel bad for Stacy if she has to launch these new products without him.

I'm surprised it took this long. GM was my DM for about 5 years and I loved him. GREAT GUY. He made my time at Mallinkrodt/Covidien worthwhile. We all know that a DM can make or break you. I've been gone 4 years or so and I see from the boards it's worse than ever! Good luck to all.

i think i may be the only person who isn't interviewing right now. trying to be positive about this place but it's impossible at this point.

You're probably not interviewing because no matter where you go in Pharma, it sucks. You're probably dreading the whole interview process, weeks of training if you even got hired, and ridiculous goal expectations. You're probably dreading the micro-management, lower salaries and all the dickhead doctors and their "no see" policy and the crappy drugs that are either "me too" drugs or just reformulated in a different dose to extend their patent which the docs won't write because it's generic anyway and the f'n insurance companies that rule the world!!! It seems to be ALL the companies not just Covidien/Mallinkrodt although their ship starting sinking back mid/end 2010 when all the big wigs they hired on to straighten the company out left. The company is totally different from 10 years ago.

We will see other DMs and reps follow suit, especially in the Northeast. Reps AH and NR have just resigned. The president's club trip will be pretty barren in feb with a bunch of winners gone. Also, if you turn in your 2 week notice, you won't have the full 2 weeks to transition out. The company will want you out ASAP, especially if you're in a managerial role. POA in march will be interesting with so many new faces.

If you resign you can not drive your company car effective immediately; you will receive a communication from your DM or acting DM that the car must be parked immediately. They do not want you in the field. They will pay you for 2 weeks plus a little vacation you have accumulated. You will be contacted by someone,usually the second week, who will come and pick up your iPad,computer, other stuff. My person was the same person who did my sample audit a few months ago. Just an FYI for everyone.
