When we think about leadership, various types of images and personalities come into our mind. We associate leadership with a political personality, explorer, and a top executive. A political leader often pursue his passion to serve people, and personal cause. An explorer cutting pass through forest, desert, and various other situations for the rest of the group, an executive as a leader formulate strategy in order give his organization a competitive edge (Răducan & Răducan, 2014). In addition to this, leadership is all about getting things done in organized way through your workers/followers. For this, the leaders would need to inspire other to execute their in an effective way (Fortenberry Jr & McGoldrick, 2016).

However, leader in health care sector is similar to the leadership in business world. However, his role becomes more dynamic and versatile. The health care leader not only formulate strategy for achieving desired goals but also keep check on the changes in legal and political environment. The health care sector is heavily influenced due to changes in legal and political environment and it is the responsibility of leader to understand those changes and communicate to its staff so that they can execute their work according to laws and regulation (Fortenberry Jr & McGoldrick, 2016). That is my personal experience as well because our managers are quite efficient and act as a leader when they want update us regarding the new SOPs and laws. He taught us in such comprehensive way it allows us to execute our work in an effective way. The health care leader should also need create a team work effort for better health care service delivery. Therefore health care leader would need to implement significant strategies for better team work.

The authentic leader must have clear purpose so that he can define the purpose to its followers. In addition to this, leader should know how to pave their way to achieve desired and stated goals (Fortenberry Jr & McGoldrick, 2016). The leader should have inspirational personality which enables his worker to follow his vision. The traditional processes will become outdated at one point of time, therefore, a good leader should have the proactive approach to challenge the process and determine new or alternative ways to make processes more efficient (Nichols, 2016). There are some basic traits other than this such a leader should be honest, straightforward, unbiased, critical thinker, and goal oriented. The leader should have concern for its people too and try to invest his effort in order enable its workers to work on their own.

In order to become an effective leader, an individual should have the learning habit, remain curious, listen to other and take good points from the alternative parties. In this manner a leader will be able to take better and informed decisions because he will have various alternatives. If he remain consistent in this practices, he will not only become effective decision maker but will also win trust of other people. Which is one of the primary objective of a leader. In this manner workplace will not be effective but it will be self-sustaining as well, they will be more adaptable and flexible to changing needs.
