Speaking of 'cells' and 'chatter', I wonder how the people who were so worried about NSA connecting the dots on phone calls feel now?
 












Who is 'our'? There are many Americans with passports who have traveled to the middle east and return, supposedly sympathetic to jihadists. Are you saying 'they' (and who is 'they') aren't interested in them? I disagree. Hell even Russia warned us about the Boston Bombers having possible ties with terrorists and they got their info from tracking phone calls and associating them with known radicals. If we had that system in place (as we once did) it could have prevented it. Libs, I doubt seriously there is a building 'somewhere' with government agents sitting around jerking off while listening to our private phone calls.

I don't know if there is or isn't Vag. But why do they need it, keep it secret, build a huge Center in Utah, and shakedown Crony Capitalist Data Oligarchs for it, only not to do anything with it?

I have no idea but I'll guarantee you a huge center in Utah synching phone data to link potential phone chatter is what Bushwhacker authorized and the next gang perpetuated and (unfortunately) is exactly what's necessary to counter the establishment and proliferation of terrorist cells in our country. While none of us like the 'idea' of the government knowing who we called to buy pot from (except where it's legal as it should be) and none of us like the idea of the government listening in on our sex talk, this all pales in comparison to the consequences of the establishment of jihad cells in our country.

I hear you, and could accept it, if I knew that they were watching EVERY Imam in this country VERY closely. But, I doubt that this is happening. Who is radicalizing all of these American ISIS fighters? It's not all coming from the Internet.

That's part of my point, it's happening over the telephone as well. In 2010 there were 672 million assigned phone numbers assigned in this country. The idea that there are rooms full of people listening in on each and every average Joe's phone conversation is preposterous. Identifying and tracking patterns phone calls of known radicals is the idea. Once patterns are established - surveillance may be in order. That was how Russia obtained information on the Boston bombers. I'd like to have our National Security be able to do the same thing. We can't because now everyone is worried someone is 'listening in' on them. That's like being worried about a needle in a haystack.
 






I've said it before and I'll say it again.... I don't give a rat's ass who listens to me on the phone, or track my whereabouts on the internet.

Just so long as "they" who are listening make sure my family and I are safe.

So far they've stated they are targeting Europe, Russia, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and the USA. Saudi Arabia is warning us because they 'hope' the USA will fight them. After all, how many Saudis were involved in 9/11?

They're like an invasion of ants - annoying and destructive and worthless. Putin's response the their threat should be interesting. I wonder if he'll take off his shirt, ride a horse and try to scare them?

I appreciate your concern. Rest assured the attack will not come from those air planes. IF they fly them, they will be tracked.

If I were you I would be more concerned with the ease of these terrorist to buy guns in this country. That we can not track.
