What? We're not working with Vertex....clearly from PI info and FDA briefing telaprevir is better drug. Physicians know it. This is just a revenue stream for company but sucks for reps.

Heard from some folks a Vertex and they are thrilled that Genentech is partnered with Merck. They believe that this will totally screw up efforts to promote the Merck drug.

Sounds interesting that doubling the sales force promoting Victrelis would screw up efforts to promote a drug. Who's brainwashing thought is that? Either Pegasys or Pegintron have to be used with Victrelis... and BOTH EXPERIENCED reps will be promoting Victrelis! Sounds like something to be concerned about at Vertex not thrilled AT ALL!

Still not crazy about this. Just smells dirty. I'll be hard pressed to mention victrelis, just enough so that "recall" will give me credit for mentioning it. Most of my big customers are already committing to using telaprivir without seeing the final label.

You're not very bright, no offense. If you're customers prefer Telap without seeing label then they could probably be convinced that Victrelis is just as good if not better. If Victrelis ends up with a lower market share in your territory than national, you'll be held responsible to a point. don't be bitter. Do your job, promote the product and get your bonus

Hey Merck rep, actually I'm bright enough to see that we are in a very unique situation that is a win-win and that Pegasys will continue to grow share. If you think you're label is so great, then you really don't know what you're selling. Glad I'm not held to a sales goal for Victrelis.

WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, there is no martian on your front lawn. Your bonus is based on recall only, not sales results PERIOD!!!! I will do the "recall" thing, but I will be a neutral observer and work with BOTH reps in my territory.

FYI, I meant the merck portion of the bonus. I you dont understand that you will not be responsible sales for the merck product performance, you really should be embarrassed.

Read your label- 56 % RASH, 47% ITCHING, anal puriitis- hide some discontinuation rate, unpublished studies.. and wow that's supposed to be a superior drug. TRY AGAIN... you can only lie so long before your nose grows and doctors see through the BS VERTEX

Boceprevir/VICTRELIS is equally efficacious if not BETTER with a SAFETY profile that blows the ass off Telaprevir. Good luck in the end MERCK will crush your sales force with or without Genentech.

Come on please, lets be objective. How can anyone say that the two drugs are equally eficacious; YOU ONLY NEED TO READ THE PI's. This is not difficult stuff, there is a reason that independent analysts expect Vertex to pickup AT LEAST 70% of the market.

HUh???? Neither product being discussed is a genentech product! What are you talking about? We have a product that will be used with either merck or vertex, so what do I care. I do not sell eithrt, just mention a few bullets, and get paid on message retention ONLY, not growth or marketshare. I believe in science, which is the PI, and the PI says Vertex SVR 80%, merck svr = 66%. Like I said, lets be objective. THERE IS A HUGE REASON WHY PRACTICALLY ALL ANALYSTS EXPECT VERTEX TO CAPTURE AT LEAST 75% of the market.

I wouldnt be too worried about Vertex. Their senior leadership are too far up themselves and could very well micro manage the crap out of it and stuff everything up.
