Have you or anyone you know ever survived the disciplinary process?

No. Nobody else did, me included. However, I deserved it. I really didn't work, was a dick to my manager, and couldn't sell my way out of a paper bag. My sense of entitlement really crept up as well during my time in the process.

I was finally asked to leave. Now I work in a job more suitable to my skills and my work ethic. I miss pharmaceuticals and now spend bitter days trolling this board, wishing I worked harder, studied more, and was open to coaching from my boss.

My life and experience may serve as nothing but a warning to those remaining.

I too only know of one person that survived and he did it by reporting his manager to HR for creating a hostile work environment. I'm not sure if that helped but he survived for at least a year and eventually left on his own.

Shut it you pig manager, go jerk off during your office day and leave the field at
1pm because "something" came up

Work hard.... Haaaaa

I'm going through the process as well and doubtful that I can survive this. To the OP please explain how you were able to survive.

This is the OP. I feel for anyone going through this. The first question you have to ask yourself is if you deserve this or not. Only you know that in your heart. There are a lot of places to hide in this job. However if you are a worker, have a family and want to fight for it know it can be done if you are in the right.

To the person asking the question, tell me your unique situation (without revealing yourself). I will tell you what I know.

Good luck.

I am a previous manager (years ago) but nothing has changed at Forest. I left because it is too difficult and time consuming to work worthless reps through the process (that does not mean that I think all reps are worthless but all of you have worked with those that you would never hire as your counterpart). Simply follow and improve on the items outlined in your letter. Call and email your manager daily for feedback, ask him/her how you are doing and what else you can do to improve. Once you improve those competencies he/she will have to move on to another skill set or behavior. Keep in mind that "most" managers at Forest are just trying to improve their rankings and it is frustrating when you have a few bad apples on your team. Forest managers are pulled in a lot of different directions, work life balance was horrible and at the end of the day the last thing I wanted to do was place someone in the process. It is a lot more work on the DM than it is on the Rep. Good Luck!!

This is a great post. I know most people on CF think managers are bad. Not always true. I've had a few now with Forest. Really, keep your numbers solid and stay off the radar and you won't hear much from them. Really this person is right at the end of the day they don't want the extra work either. I have never been a manager at Forest. But most will tell you it is a lot of work to have someone in the process. Just keep your numbers up and handle your stuff and most (most) will leave you alone.

Thanks for the feedback, DM. The actual truth is DMs are cowardly here at Forest and are afraid to defend a good rep. Putting a rep through the "process" is the easy way out. You have to be sociopath to enjoy this line of work. So you can stop arguing your noble cause. You're afraid just like the rest of us and you'll do anything to save your own hide.

Drug reps are a joke. You have no purpose. All you do is worry about getting signatures at correct times, spending your budget, and staying off of the loc. Count it a blessing if you leave the industry. There are plenty of great careers that pay well, and you actually feel productive at the end of the day.

Easier said than done to keep your numbers up, especially when 6- 7 reps are on your team. Just find something better, there are jobs out there. Forest is a losing battle. Maybe you get numbers up for one 1/4 or two. The end game is you moving on to a better situation. Ie. Device. Good luck.
