Have you ever felt embarrassed or ashamed working for Novartis?

Have you ever tried to hide that you work for this great company? What is our reputation in public? Why do docs hate us?

Sales Consultant here in Atlanta. No, I have never felt embarrassed or ashamed to work at Novartis. I can tell you that I am the farthest thing from your typical "ass kisser" in this company, so i say this with honesty and candidness.

You have serious issues. Don't be so negative! If you don't like the company, you can always leave.

I am embarassed to be a pharma sales rep at 40. When I was 30 it was a great job. I can't leave because I am making $170k plus benefits (specialty rep). I still make as much or more than my friends in other positions, but what a non respected job this has become.

I am very proud to be a pharmaceutical sales specialist at Novartis. I have been a part of this company for almost two decades and I know how much the products I represent have help patients. Yes, times have changed but that doesn't mean I haven't continued to be a value and a resource to my patients, hospitals, academic centers and specialty offices, and prescribers. I have had to adjust with all of the change over the years, but you just have to be willing to adjust to the new roles. It all begins with your attitude and it ends with your attitude. You make the difference and determine how you are going to lead your like by taking accountability.

Not Joe or corporate yes person, or Kool Aid Drinker, I was passed over for jobs, displaced, treated horrible by upper management, but the point is I control my thoughts and behavior and I choose to hold myself accountable to my own standards of professionalism. I have also won multiple national awards and have had many opportunities to leave. The difference is that I am not choosing to be non accountable. I am very proud to me a sales professional with Novartis.
