Have AZ med benefits stopped paying for AZ products?

A retiree, went tot eh pharmacy and was charged for the AZ meds.
Has the policy changed?
Has that happened anywhere else?

I am betting that the entire company will be gone in less than 3 years. All products worth a shit are going generic in the next 24 months. The rest are barking dogs.

Tenormin, Tenoretic, Zestril, Zestoretic. Switch to the generics.

Try Toprol-XL...works a little different....plus they are scored and you can cut them in half.
Atacand also better BP drug than Zestril, unless HF or diabetes needed to protect the kidneys.

I'm not getting generics on these. But docs write NO substitions...

Nexium is generic -- no need for a note from a guy in a white coat -- and cheap as dirt. It works too.

Atacand and Zesteril are two different classes of drugs.

One is an ARB and the other an ACE. They have two different MOAs.

Not really , they are both very similar and ARB are better essentially because they have much less cough associated with its use.

Duh....I sold them both ACE blocks blocks the conversion AngT1 to AngT2 in the liver.

Arb's block AT1 receptors so Angt2 will not attach and constrict the vessel.

Also ARB's work great ISH because more AT1 receptors are in the arota arch..thus get a better reduction in the systolic BP

I sold BP drugs for over 22 years...numnuts
