The Liu case lists Richard Brewer (deceased) as a defendant. Do they go after his estate?

They can go after the estate if:

1. His estate has not been wound up by the probate court, and

2. All the assets have not been sheltered, say in a family trust that passes outside of probate.

You can sue anybody at anytime. Whether there are assets to be recovered if you win the suit is an entirely different kettle of fish.
