Happy Thanksgiving to all!!
I want to thank God for having worked for this once great company Merck!

I wish Merck can return one day and provide opportunity to others as I had been given.

Happy Thanksgiving to you.

Merck lost its way a long time ago. Profits became more important than people. Merck, like do many Pharma companies, fell into the trap of hiring too many reps to do too little work.
Pharma brought about its own demise.

Very well said...Of course, it is only a demise for the reps. All the managers and senior executives
have very secure and bright futures...The reps are the only ones that get limits on their
corporate welfare payments...

On the other hand, I regret having wasted one minute of my life at this worthless dung-hole employer. It hasn't been great for at least fifteen years….and it never will be again.

FU Merck. And those a--holes that "manage" it.

I just know I will be cut, just like a Thanksgiving Turkey. Speaking of which, I had an extra bird this year, my plan is to leave a defrosted 15 pound Butterball Turkey in the back of my fleet car basking in the Las Vegas heat. Can't wait to drop it off at the car dealer, Merck fleet is gonna be pissed. Gobble gobble and fu Merck.

Rethink that. Merck subcontracts fleet and they subcontract vehicle collection. You’ll only waste money and torture some poor, underpaid schmuck trying to do his/her job.

I also am thankful for the opportunity Merck gave me over 30 years ago. Once the Most Admired Company in America for at least 3 years in a row. I do think Merck deserved the accolades during that period. We were the envy of Wall Street and Main Street as well. Opportunities within Sales and Marketing were almost too plentiful. It was exciting to see who would take the next promotions and new positions that were being filled due to an ever expanding product line. Those who wanted to advance had limitless positions to post for. Those who chose to stay in the field could advance and feel as though they still had needed and valued positions. Sales meetings and Annual Meetings were actually pleasant and something to look forward to. Everything changes and Merck did as well. All of these posters being so critical of Merck are misguided in my opinion. Pharma was a great place to be in the 70's, 80's and 90's. Industries and opportunities within those industries change. Those opportunities still exist but they certainly are reduced. Merck did not cause the demise of the industry as the reasons are too numerous and complicated to blame on a single company. Move on to the next boom industry and make your niche there. Opportunities still exist. Good luck with your next chapter and try to remember those great years with Merck.

"Misguided"? Are you f--king kidding me? I've watched every decent person I ever cared about run out of this company, most in a terrible way. The endless "investigations", the CTL changes where the new one suddenly can't find anything good about a rep the previous CTL loved, the absolute failure of MRL over and over and over, the billions given to our management while this death spiral has continued----did you not notice the reduction in head count by over 80,000 people? Those are 80,000 families that have been financially hung out to dry while the scum-sucking maggots in HQ make tens of millions per year.

I have concluded that you are a f--king moron. FU and FU Merck.
