I’m so thankful to be a Salix employee. I haven’t worked a single day this quarter or a full day since last January. Only at Salix can I report to a manager and RD so obviously checked out they don’t notice. I fake calls and sample events throughout the day to make it look legit. My stupid manager hasn’t scheduled a ride along since the beginning of the year! He doesn’t ride with any of us so I assume my team mates are doing the same thing I’m doing. I’ve been working out almost daily and have never been in better shape. My work/life balance is off the charts wonderful. The funny part is the less time I put in, the higher my PClub ranking. I’m so lucky to be here. Free money.
 






Same here! Been double dipping since the pandemic. Virtual calls/lunches and a checked-out DM has me double bagging. It’s never been easier to build up wealthy and still have have a life! Long Live Salix!
 






Sensing a theme here.

Looks like the pandemic has been very good to our managers. Sit around in their sweats all day punching into Zoom for a few minutes to “debrief” virtually and then back to online porn. I have not seen my manager for a full day, in person in almost two years. Not complaining by the way. She is worthless. I enjoy telling her “I don’t feel comfortable working in person during these unprecedented times.” It’s the HR hall pass.

Right. I don’t work here. You do realize Zoom has become a generic term for virtual meetings right? Whether it’s MS Teams, Zoom, Skype or whatever, the fact is, my manager hasn’t been in the field for a year and a half. We do virtual check ins and that counts as a field ride. I don’t have to see her sorry ass and she doesn’t have to get out of her yoga pants. Everybody wins.
 






Serious POS company led by a bunch of Pharma hacks who got fired from real companies like Merck and Pfizer. JC got fired from AZ and now he leads us after his stunning success in the dental division at Valeant. This company is a joke.

Happy February. I began the new year with a personal goal. That goal was to get all the way through January without a single day in the field. Spoiler alert; I exceeded even my own expectations. Not only did I succeed, spending ZERO days in the field, I “worked” virtually from the beach 1500 miles from my territory for two weeks. I offered up amazing ideas and content on our team calls and sent in daily success stories. My manager complimented me on my engagement.

Since today is the first day of the new month, I’m gonna take it easy and recoup before I chart my course for the remainder of the month.

Thanks Salix. I’ve never worked for a more checked out leadership team in my career. This is the gift that keeps on giving.

Thanks Idiot - We all appreciate the increased scrutiny that we have now. Unfortunately you are the reason that my manager is back to full 2 day ride-alongs again. Thanks for ruining what was a good thing.
 






I’m shocked JC let’s leadership and reps like you get away with this. But at the same time he’s too busy sitting up at corporate office scratching his balls and eating Cheeto puffs. Keep doing what you do and collect that free money.

OP here. First, do you really think JC and his band of dummies read what is posted here and all of a sudden decide to scrutinize the field? C'mon man. Second, don't blame me. We got the luck of the draw with a totally checked out manager. We have a good market and solid coverage so the scripts keep rolling. The pandemic has been good for our whole team. Our manager never comes into the field and we go a week or more without hearing a peep. We know he/she is interviewing and preparing to exit so there is no pressure for field rides or conference calls. Your manager is probably a scared little man bowing and scraping to Jabba. He sounds like an uptight bag of dicks.

Believe me or don't. I really don't care. I'm living my best life and getting paid well for sending out a few emails, doing some phone calls and virtual meetings. This whole place is a house of cards that will fall without warning. Just ask the RAE team about stability.

I know if I leave tomorrow, nobody will care. I'll be replaced with some cheap newbie in a week. I'm as loyal and committed to the company as they are to me. I didn't feel this way years ago when I joined Salix. I worked my ass off every day and I loved my job. My boss, the person who hired me, left and was replaced by a do nothing, worthless, completely checked out toadie. My world changed overnight and so did my attitude. I give as good as I get and I'm not getting much more than a paycheck at this shit show.

If my manager decides to schedule a field ride, I'll make some live calls. If not, I'm going to stick with virtual and fake calls and sample events. Fuck Salix.
