Hans Blunder Causes Layoffs

There is going to be massive layoffs. For months, reps joked about $93K drug and the management ignored our field experience. Now the same people who saw the problem will be forced out while Hans will stay and will be rewarded with more money and stock options.

Without divulging to much info I worked directly for Hans at Bayer. To say Mr. Bishop is an imbecile is in fact an understatement. No love lost from ANYONE when he moved on. An apology is due to those investors and employees of Dendreon. Unless the BOD and Mr. Gold quickly take stock and surmise the situation your company will spiral out of control if in fact it already has not.

Well, Hance 'left' (with some encouragement I'm sure) but he was awarded $12,500,000 in severance. Know how much total was spent on the 500 DNDN employees who were laid off? $21,000,000. The mathematics stink.

Layoffs could be the best thing for those who it happens to. Better opportunities elsewhere.

You're correct there. Many of the people I know who were laid off are happy to be out of there. Many of those who were laid off figure that DNDN is an even worse place to work now than it was before. Someone described the remaining employees as a mass of quivering fear.

If that is true one needs not wonder why we live in society and political world that plays on class warfare. I'd like to blame it on his BS british heritage and their stupid monarchy nonsense but there are just as many american pricks like him too. He's pathetic as are all the DMs and RDs he's responsible for bringing on board. Of course, Mitch hired him so I guess you know where that puts him. Hope they all get what they deserve !

It's true in so far as it was in the news (two separate articles and carriers). I can't recall the sources otherwise I would post the link.

In so far as Mitch getting what he deserves I can only guess at what *might* happen based on identical circumstances at a different company I worked for. Those who engaged in insider trading were fined and/or went to prison. The CEO who gave exagerated(sic) earnings projections based on the development of a drug which he knew damn well didn't work (tox studies resulted in half the test animals developing tumors) was barred from the industry.
