Gutted Derm then Gastro now Rheum

First Derm was picked clean by a launching of a new and novel PsO treatment. Next up was a GI but few JBI reps made the cut to move on. Now whatever talent remains will be gone to the innovative new products. My notice goes in July 1. I have two weeks golf, followed by my notice, followed by two more weeks of golf. Followed by FREEDOM. That is what I call a happy FOURTH! Everything but inexperience and those old fools chasing a mirage of a pension. $75K signing bonus. You can keep begging for crappy crumbs at JBI. I'm eating cavier now. I have been hearing there will be 6-7 of us leaving in this jump alone. Bye bye

My old region is now populated with a bunch of miserable, brown-nosing dinosaurs who never had much talent to begin with. They absolutely hate their jobs and their lives, pretty much their own existence, and especially hate everyone who had the guts and talent to leave and succeed somewhere else.
I love it.

I would say that more than half of the Derm franchise consists of miserable people hanging on because of the pension and the medical benefit thing that no one really understands. The other (less than) half are people recently hired who will soon be jaded like the rest of us. I use to be that person hanging on for the pension....no more. I'm tired of hearing from old colleagues about signing bonuses, equity, and salary increases that make our pension (20 years from now) a mute point. I'm a free agent and hope to be home studying by the pool this summer for a company that shows some interest in keeping it's sales reps.

The sad thing is...JBI doesn't care about the mass exodus. They'll just replace us with cheaper reach and frequency robots.

The only reps holding on that I see in my region are those stale old codgers that have been hiding out most of their careers. In New England there is virtually no access, and it's a waste to keep paying these people just to do nothing. As a shareholder I want them out and newer, lower-paid people doing the job. The newbies can't do any worse, right?

Read the thread in the new pay structure. They are going to force the older reps out with a huge pay cut. No more bonus system. No more pay for performance. No more self motivation to make more $. Only robotic salaried children for JnJ in the future now.

Isn't that what they said about Obama? We live in a bankrupt country now. Yes, we can do much worse.

Because we are responsible professionals dedicated to improving lives, I think we should ask Marti if we could create some kind of advisory board to see how we as professionals can help to control the terrible plague of guns in our country. I know that you people in the south might disagree because so many people hunt down there, but isn't there a Publix or Winn Dixie everywhere where you could get your meat. In the northeast we are usually more intellectual about such things and it is pretty much agreed on that people have no need for firearms, and if they do then why just not have the type the founding fathers had? You could still hunt with them if you choose to or you could sell your firearms in a buyback to the government and head to Whole Foods. These are ideas we could use to start our advisory board.

I like how we are moving forward progressively and how our company cares about more than just sales. This is a great idea posed here, and it goes good with our Hillary campaign. Good news this weekend: Our lady is now double-digits ahead in all the polls! It's a safe bet that this will just get bigger and the gap wider as the summer goes on. Many of the smarter people in our society are behind her, as well as many prominent celebrities. This is usually the key to a win! Once we get the White House we will get back to the Supreme Court and change this stupid immigration decision, and we can start a serious change to gun control. So keep working hard both in the field and for the future!

In Massachusetts we are so excited about a potential Elizabeth Warren Vice President nomination. She is a very smart lady and beloved by the people here. Keep your fingers crossed!
