Why does it surprise you that there is a carousel of layoffs in the Pharmaceutical industry? If you choose to remain in the industry in the bullshit job, you deserve to be exposed to the layoffs that are as predictable as death and taxes.
I'm a former Pharma rep and made the decision to get out 2 years ago. Turns out, there are a lot of opportunities to be successful and respected outside of the Pharma industry.
But, I'm sure here's how it will go. You'll speculate about layoffs for 6 months...get laid off...bitch about it, and have a pity party, tell yourself and everyone who will listen how screwed over you go..."network" with recruiters...get "offered" a job with another Pharma company, because if you asked yourself the tough questions you'd realize you're lazy but justify it with the decent base salary and company car...accept the job...year later, be in the same position about speculating about layoffs...and so the cycle continues.
You're all a bunch of clowns that have no idea how to sell.
