Don't wait until they give you the package to start looking. The employment prospects for pharma is brutal and finding work can be a long process. Good luck in your new career.

Why would you think the grass is greener? There is no "other side" in pharma. It's the devil you know vs. the devil you don't. I had 20+ Merck years, Hall of Fame, Masters in Health Admin etc. It took me almost a year to get hired and at no where near my previous salary, bonus or vacation time. My new health plan is sub par too. The name Merck brings no prestige when interviewing. Hope you have multiple options and skills. Good Luck!
