After a couple of text messages and about 6 phone calls from Novartians and former Novartians it's apparent that the feces has made physical contact with the whirling blades of an electrically driven cooling device. That being said, DON'T GIVE UP THE SHIP FOLKS. There are jobs out there and don't avoid device sales just because you are pharma. I am older than most if not all of you and with a lifetime in pharma and I found a device job. Look for smaller companies. Don't get discouraged, hang in there and remember.....

I, too, was contacted by many of my old counterparts. Like RT, I am damn old, male, and had no trouble finding work after I was downsized last year. I use the severance to finance my fledgling business which had a VERY good year, and I got a job with a major healthcare corporation. Rely on networking and using the skills that you have developed, of course many of the newer reps have never gained any skills above catering, but the old timers will have no trouble.

Stop trying to sound better than everyone else. You should just enjoy the fact that you were able to find a position after the layoffs. While do you feel the need to brag about it. You are an asshole and you have no class or respect for other people. You may be an old man as you say but you definitely haven't matured. Not sure if you are referring to me or poster number 2 but I don't think either of us were bragging. I was trying to be encouraging as was he and his advice about networking is spot on. Networking was how I found a job. Sometimes when we read we fail to see the message for the words.
