I’ve read mixed reviews on Applied Medical. Is it a good company to work for? Please be as honest as possible.
I can only speak from the Sales side of the fence. Applied has a few good products, particularly the Alexis and gel products (GelPort and various GelPoints). The problem is the comp plan is largely based on revenue growth, and they consistently set objectives that are unrealistic in order to pay reps less. As a result over 25% of the Sales territories in the U.S. are currently vacant, so that tells a story right there. And management all the way up the chain has no qualms about misrepresenting the comp plan to candidates, and also will blatantly lie about compensation in positions they want to "promote" you to.I’ve read mixed reviews on Applied Medical. IMO the only possible reason to take a job with Applied is if you are looking to get a foot in the door with surgical/medical sales, get a year or two for your resume then look for a company that treats their salesforce with respect, with integrity and with appropriate compensation.
Maybe things will change when they fire DG end of year - rumor mill
