Good bye

do we know how many employees are terminated because they elected not to receive the vaccine?
numbers anyone? percent?
Will be interesting to see how things play out when the Indy people have to be back in the office. Vaccinated people will not need to wear masks, unvaccinated people will. (Wearing a mask for 8 hours is a whole different ballgame. Get ready for some serious chafing around the ear loops.) Unless large numbers of vaccinated people choose to wear masks, the exceptions will be visibly obvious. Supervisors will be under significant pressure from both senior management and their vaccinated employees to discipline the exceptions who do not comply. And/or there will be many allegations of unequal treatment by the vaccinated - it's not fair that you are giving the exceptions a pass on coming to the office just because wearing a mask for 8 hours a day is uncomfortable for them. The fun has only just started.

Should be interesting for sure. The rumor is that the vast majority of home office associates are vaccinated so the few that aren’t will stand out for sure.

Rumor I’ve heard is that there are more exceptions than you think. Religious exemptions being given to people who haven’t set foot in a church in years. Supervisors will probably be informed of the exceptions and expected to enforce mask requirements. And remember, it is Indiana, red state. Lots of holdover resentment over how much Indy and Lilly have changed over the years, you can see it on Cafe Pharma. Brace yourselves for the culture wars to spill over to the office. Will be even more toxic at Lilly than it was before the pandemic.
