Giving them what they want

Yes, I'm finally out!! For years, I did what most of us do: you check the boxes, nod your head yes and give your manager the dog and pony show of your life. EVERYONE knows that the brand team is smoking crack and those folks would crash and burn with those dumb messages if they were out here trying to sell. We lie to shut up management, then we go out and do what actually WORKS because we actually like selling not sucking. Well, after lining up another gig, I went out and began to do exactly what they wanted...to the letter. I gave the company what they said they wanted. The sweetest revenge was watching those numbers tank before I walked out the door. Give 'em what they want!

Haha! Hilarious -- once you know you're gone, start acting like a DSM, in order to extract revenge and ruin the sales in your territory. Is that ironic? Only at AstraZeneca.

We've been saving them from themselves, but in the process management became convinced that they knew something special. Now that they are throwing out the baby with the bathwater, the whole farce is on display for the world to see. Business students will be studying this stuff for decades to come.
