you think you will have a job in 2 years at merck or work for Gilead after a round of interviewing ?

Anything possible, guess it depends on HIV pipeline after these next couple of launches.
 




This actually makes perfect sense. Merck has been very patient with us as sales of Isn continue to decline and we can barely get off the ground with P & D. It's just a matter of time before Gilead incorporates our products into their portfolio and they sure won't be needing Merck's Viro "sales" team.
 








Gilead will not keep the Merck Virology team, where the average age of a rep is 48. I will be surprised if this doesn't go down before the end of 2021, there is no reason for them to wait. Did you hear what Cody said on the last. marketing call when he slipped and mentioned the delays with Islatravir? We are on borrowed time, if you are too young to retire you have a backup plan!
 




This makes no sense, why would Gilead want our Virology division? Other than Islatravir, we offer them nothing. Isentress doesn't require rep promotion and doravirine is a complete dog. I'll be surprised if our leadership decides to continue to support. Anyone hearing anything?

Isentress is a dog, too. It sells at about 1/20th the pace of their integrase, and almost all see it as inferior

He retired years ago. Why sell because then Gilead pays the 35-40% upfront and then Merck has cash to buy something else. There is no solid HIV pipeline in R&D after this- 2-3 years and then....? Talk to someone selling the injections there is a reason Gilead isn’t launching the injection in the US. Hate to be the bearer of bad news

Putz is gone. They swapped him into a new role and then eliminated his new job a year later to get rid of him. Buh-bye and good riddance. Now time to get rid of the rest of the dead weight.
 




The main problem with Merck virology reps is that most of them think Prager U videos are quality and all of them think the election was stolen. Never met such a group of Rush ditto heads before.
 




The virology division has a history of problems. The underdog products continue to bore the sales force into having nothing significant to talk about and then waste time having meetings to practice marketing messages. The trend continues and now again a focus on what might be in a couple of years only to role out something for a couple of years and then no pipeline. The writing is on the wall people. This division is set for a buyout and (Gilead?) will plan to swoop in and take this over. The market will already have me-too PREP products by then. Why wait around to watch this mess?
