Does anyone see what happened to the manager at Gilead from Genentech? They change things when they have a issue, we promote them. We have managers that hinder work but, they are perceived as good managers because the Reps make their numbers. People are a not going to say anything either because the RSD's will tag them as negative.

That's nothing new. In the SE you will get blackballed or fired if you say anything. Do you realize how many people have left this company because they can't make any moves here. They are usually great reps but they don't tell the managers how great they are, i.e., play the game. Maybe we should all go for the brown jacket! That's a sad award that you have to make people say something good about you.

There is no such thing as "GNE", just try to buy "GNE" stock, it does not exist. Let me remind you that Roche purchased "GNE" and absorbed it. Genentech is just a fancy brand name for "Roche" in the USA. There is no "mothership" to carry, and there is no "independent" or seperate Genetech entity, it is only a name. Like the Japanese on those Iwo Jima caves after WWII, you need to come to grips with the fa t that the "War is over", and you have been defeated. GNE is dead! We are all now Roche, plain and simple!

Everyone over here is looking for something. There isn't anything to keep us here anymore other than the products which is very important. Ask the phamacyclics people. Management is the worst but, pipeline is great.

It depends on your manager. I was told they didn't know how much to pay people. Most of the company is primary care type sales and they are people right out of college also, these people are micro managed.

Really it's all the same. People try to make it sound like this is a different place but, it's the same. It's always better when you first get here because it's a new position but, it's just like all other companies. We do have great products but, the managers are just like everywhere else, some good, some not so good.
