no brainer. gi solutions is safer bet for long term. i am in energy but wish i could get into this niche division. about same pay from what i hear

you are an idiot if you pass on energy job. Company screwed up by buying barxx and they are way underperforming. Pay cuts for that division coming. Energy you make min. 150, but will work harder

Can't speak to GI, but energy has been a great gig for me. Great products and solid position as the market leader. That said, we're taking some licks from robotics and reprocessing, and it looks like it's only going to get worse. So far, all we've been given to fight these threats are talking points, so it will be interesting to see how management handles it in 2013 and beyond.

GI Solutions is a great story, but leadership from Covidien wants them to put up numbers that are not attainable. Sales Force will jump soon, if comp plan is not tweaked for realistic growth. Barrx days of 30-40 percent growth every year are not happening anymore...
